About Us

What happens when two Organizers (who also happen to be Real Estate Agents and life-long friends!!) sit down over a glass of wine and try to figure out the BEST way to give their clients the most complete and extraordinary service possible?!

Well, they decide to organize, of course! As Realtors, we understand the importance of a clean, clutter free home to present to potential buyers, so not only do we make it a part of our own listing package, but we make our services available to other real estate agents as well.

But as Organizers, we understand that everybody needs a fresh start every now and then, whether you are selling your home or not. Scroll through our list of services and see how we can help you create “The Organized Life” by decluttering, downsizing and making your home a stress free place to come home to. “Less Mess is Less Stress” 🙂

Whether your needs include move management for your senior parents as you prepare to sell their home or simply a pantry or home office refresh, The Organized Life will take the stress out of tackling any project big or small and help create a new efficient way of life that allows you to enjoy your home and life by spending more time doing what you love most.

So, here’s to your fresh start, whether it be a perfectly organized closet or a total house decluttering, let us help you create the efficient and functional space you have dreamed of!!

Kathy Gunter Co-Founder and Senior Move Manager

After working as a paralegal for over 20 years, I started my own organizing and staging business! I’m a professional Realtor and certified in Home Staging and Redesign. I’m a member of the Sales & Marketing Council of NEFBA (Northeast Florida Builders Association), the JAX Chamber Professional Women’s Council and the Real Estate Staging Association.

I’ve lived in Jacksonville for over 40 years! Over the years, I have lived in various parts of town but for the past 25 years I have loved living the beach lifestyle. After moving here from Kentucky, I grew up in Arlington and graduated from Terry Parker High School before heading to the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). I have raised both of my daughters here while enjoying everything that the city has to offer and can’t imagine living anywhere else! I currently live in Neptune Beach with my dog, Bleubelle and my cat, Cooper!

Annmarie moved to Florida 8 years ago from Connecticut with her husband Roger and three children Nicholas, Matthew and Jennifer. She worked in the medical field, in cardiac surgery, and helping people through major surgery in their life gave her great satisfaction.

After moving to Jacksonville she realized she wanted to be outdoors more so became a Realtor. Annmarie enjoys meeting people and building relationships. Along with listing peoples homes she realizes the need to help them organize and prepare their home for sale. “I was given the opportunity to help The Organized Life and I enjoyed it so much that I am honored to now be part of this amazing team.” Annmarie

Alicia Michols - Co-Founder and Senior Move Manager

I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in the Arlington area. I attended Terry Parker High School and then graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Economics ( Go Noles!). I met my husband in college and we moved to Jupiter, Florida where we raised our 4 children, Andrew, Davis, Riley and Carson. We also spent a few years in Atlanta and then decided to move back home once our youngest left for college. My husband and I currently live in Ponte Vedra Beach close to my parents and brother and sister.

I’m the 5th Generation of my family to be raised in Jacksonville. You can say I am a true “Local” to Jacksonville and the beaches. My grandparents started Martin Coffee Company in downtown Jacksonville in 1957. Martin Coffee is now being operated by my siblings and my parents are still involved as much as they can. We take pride in being the oldest specialty coffee roaster in North Florida for over 65 years.

After graduating FSU I worked as a paralegal for one of the oldest law firms in Jacksonville. We practiced corporate litigation and I also ran the campaign for my boss to win the President of the Florida Bar Association. After taking several years off to raise our 4 children I realized my dream of organizing and began working at Peace Of Mind Transition. We focused mainly on moving Seniors from their family homes of many years into Assisted Living places all around Atlanta. We would help them “right-size” and decorate their new, much smaller place just like their home was. We hung pictures and decorated just like they have always known. The joy and happiness on their faces moving into a new place is something that I feel so grateful for.

I am currently a real estate agent at Berkshire Hathaway and love showing clients around this beautiful city I have called home for over 50 years.
